Daily Juicing Recipe for Healthy and Vibrant Skin
This daily juicing recipe for healthy and vibrant skin will help you begin to heal your skin from the inside out.
Does your skin look blah?
There are so many products out there for giving your skin a moisturized, supple glow. It can be hard to choose the best one.
What if you took care of your skin from the inside?
Slathering lotions and serums on your skin may mask problems that are contributing to your issues. In fact, many experts say that your skin’s health starts in the gut (you read more about this at the end of the article).
Keeping your digestive system balanced and healthy can help solve your skin issues.
One of the best ways to provide your body and skin with exactly what they need is by juicing.
We’ll go over the crucial ingredients to include in your juice. Let’s find out how they can leave you with healthy and vibrant skin by looking at the facts below.

Carrots Provide Sweet Skin Benefits
Carrots are rich in beta-carotene. This nutrient is the plant form of vitamin A.
It’s also an antioxidant. Antioxidants help to delay the aging process.
They also repair damaged DNA. As your skin cells become damaged from the sun, toxins, and age, they lose an electron in their outer layer.
They’re called free radicals, because they seek out other cells to latch on to and restore that electron. When free radicals connect with certain cells, those cells also become damaged.
Antioxidants bind with the unstable electron, preventing them from binding with anything else.
The vitamin A and vitamin C provided by carrots also helps with tissue growth. When your body can easily produce new tissue and collagen, your skin is less likely to show signs of aging, like sagging and wrinkles.
Potassium in carrots also aids in skin cell renewal. It keeps you properly hydrated, too.
Adequate hydration is important for plump, glowing skin.
Leafy Greens Reduce Inflammation and Promote Collagen Growth
Dark, leafy vegetables, such as kale, contain many nutrients that are good for your skin. Kale contains:
- Vitamin C – This helps your skin produce collagen, making it stronger and more elastic. It also provides antioxidants, which can repair and prevent sun damage.
- Copper – When you get tan, your skin produces melanin. That’s a sign that your skin has been damaged, but the melanin also helps protect your skin from further sun damage.
Copper has a similar effect but does not cause sun damage. Copper encourages your skin to produce melanin.
It also has anti-inflammatory properties and may aid in wound healing. Like vitamin C, copper helps your skin produce collagen.
- Vitamin A – One cup of kale contains almost 50% of a woman’s vitamin A needs for the day. Researchers have found that vitamin A deficiency can cause your oil and sweat glands to weaken (1).
This can be detrimental when it comes to moisturizing your skin and allowing your body to release toxins through sweat.
Beets Help Blood Circulate to Your Skin
Beets are rich in potassium, fiber, vitamin C and antioxidants. They also contain nitrates, which can improve blood pressure and circulation.
When your blood is able to flow efficiently throughout your body, it provides the skin cells with the nutrients they need to thrive.
Beets are great in juices and smoothies as well, because they make them sweeter!
Collagen Heals Your Skin from the Inside Out
Collagen helps keep your skin healthy. It’s one of those nutrients that our ancestors got plenty of in their diet, but we do not in modern-day society.
This is because it is a protein found in the connective tissue, tendons, skin, and bones of animals. Unfortunately these are not things that we consume in our diet very often anymore due to recent trends and demand for “boneless, skinless chicken breasts”.
It also helps to heal your gut by helping beneficial bacteria to thrive in your digestive system and preventing harmful bacteria from growing. Harmful bacteria in your gut can contribute to skin problems like acne and rosacea.
In addition, if the lining of your gut is damaged, it allows toxins and molecules into your system that would normally be kept out. Repairing your gut lining by eating collagen can help resolve your skin issues and prevent more from occurring in the future.
While collagen isn’t a food source out of which you can extract juice, you can mix it with your prepared juice to enhance its nutritional content.
Dr. Axe has a great article on collagen if you’re looking to read more about this supplement. We use his recommended brand.
Parsley Helps Detoxify
Parsley has detoxifying benefits. It helps your liver and kidneys filter out contaminants from the blood.
The vitamin K in parsley helps your skin become more elastic. It can also aid in healing wounds, which can help prevent acne scars and reduce dark spots.
Ginger is Anti-Inflammatory
Ginger is a powerful ingredient for your digestion and your skin. Ginger is soothing to the stomach, which can help if you’re working to heal your gut.
The anti-inflammatory properties in ginger can help improve your immune system as well as your skin health. Fresh ginger also adds a pleasant kick to your juice.
Lemon Helps Detoxify and Provide Flavor
Adding lemon to your juice will boost its detoxifying power. Lemon also adds a ton of vitamin C!
The citrus flavor will counteract any bitterness from your greens, creating a slightly tart, sweet beverage.
Should You Buy a Juicer?
Technically, a true raw juice recipe requires a juicer. Juicers extract the liquid from the food items, leaving the pulp behind.
Juicers don’t produce heat that can kill some of the beneficial nutrients in the fruits and veggies. This is the juicer that I use and love! It’s definitely a bit of an investment, but it’s well worth it for your health!
However, a high-powered blender can produce juice that’s still super healthy. Blenders create heat as the blades whir around.
This is the blender that I use and love! It’s also an investment, but I have had mine for 5 years now. I’ve also heard that the Ninja blender is a very comparable blender for a much lower price!
As long as you don’t blend it too long, the heat produced is small and not likely to damage any of the enzymes and compounds in the juice. The plus side is that juice made in a blender contains more fiber.
If you don’t strain out the pulp from your juice, you’ll consume fiber along with the liquid. This can help you stay full and prevent your blood sugar from rising quickly after drinking juice.
Daily Juicing Recipe for Healthy and Vibrant Skin
Combining carrots, kale, beets, parsley, ginger, lemon, and collagen sounds terrible. However, the beets, carrots, and lemon impart sweetness, and the kale has little flavor.
Use the following ingredients to produce a tasty juice that’s beneficial for your skin:
- 1 cup kale
- 2 whole, large carrots
- ¼ cup chopped beet
- ½ lemon with skin removed
- Handful of parsley
- ½-inch chunk of fresh ginger
- Optional: One scoop of collagen powder
If you have a juicer, add all of the ingredients in there! Mix the collagen powder into your glass after you finish juicing the ingredients.
If you’re making your juice in a blender, add all of the ingredients to the blender (including the collagen) along with some water or kombucha. Blend until smooth.
If you are looking for a little extra help towards getting vibrant skin…
Did you know that gut health is very closely related to skin health? An unhealthy gut can cause your body to have trouble processing and utilizing vital nutrients.
This can lead to all sorts of problems, including digestive distress, weight gain, and inflammation in the gut as well as the largest organ of the body, the skin.
You can improve your gut health through a variety of ways, including drinking kombucha, eating fermented foods, and consuming bone broth. Perhaps one of the most effective and fast-working methods is taking a good probiotic supplement.
No matter what supplement you use, you should take AT LEAST 50 billion units of probiotics daily from a minimum of 10 different sources for best results.
While you don’t need to purchase only refrigerated probiotics, make sure the packaging is well sealed. It’s also essential that the packaging is dark (or opaque, not transparent) to protect from light damage.
We have our own brand of Probiotics at Avocadu called Gut-13.

Probiotics are one of the best solutions for healing your gut, helping you lose weight faster, and providing you with a healthy source of gut flora every day!
Next, you will need to eat a healthy diet full of whole, natural foods!
Probiotics will help to get your gut started on the right track again, but it won’t make a very big impact if you are still eating a diet full of the WRONG foods that wreak havoc on your gut in the first place.
This is a big emphasis of our 21-Day Fat Loss Challenge as it’s about changing our eating habits and re-learning what we should and should not be eating.
People lose an average of 10-21 pounds in 21 days and absolutely love it! But even better than the weight loss is the feedback we get from people about how the program has taught them how to change their eating habits and find a diet that truly works for them in the long-term.
